Bio

Andy has been singing and playing music since before his hand was big enough to reach all the strings on the guitar. Born in Akron, Ohio, he has lived and played all around the country, from Boston to Los Angeles and places in between - and you can hear it in the eclecticism of his music. With his roots in acoustic folk, and fingers in the cookie jars of rock, country, blues and even a little jazz, there is something for everyone. Whether singing about living in the big bad city or escaping into the desert or the mountains, Andy’s songs will lock in your attention with their universal appeal. His songs will make you think, laugh, or just close your eyes and smile – touching something both familiar and new.

With his new release, “It’s All True,” Andy offers up a healthy batch of 14 songs to grab your ears and heart. You’ll find a breath of fresh air in songs like ‘Desert Sunrise’ and ‘Summer Days’, commentary on the state of our world and our attitudes in songs like ‘Waning Moon’ and ‘Dirty Streets’, and clever twists on the politics of relationships in the crowd pleasers ‘Traitor’ and ‘Good Thing.’ And be sure to look for guest appearances by Andy’s brother Dave and Ralph Carney, who played sax with Tom Waits, among others!
