Real World

Everyday should bring a cloudless sky
And on your arm a woman with middle eastern eyes
Peace and love and ice cream with someone you can trust
You fall asleep together, no problems to discuss

But that don’t happen in the real world
Sometimes we’re lonely in the real world
Sometimes you feel like fflying
Sometimes you end up crying
But that’s the best that we can do
In the real world

We wanna be where the other half lives
Perinon and caviar, a nanny for the kids
Married to a supermodel, living trouble free
Go into the yard, pick some money from the tree
But that don’t happen in the real world

We work for a living in the real world
We hope we’ll have enough
To buy expensive stuff
We play the lottery and lose
In the real world

Somedays I just wanna stay in bed
While all the buzzing people all try to get ahead
I drift away, I’m sleeping on the moon
When I awake sometimes I write a tune

Try not to listen to the real world
Gets kinda noisy in the real world
A touch of fantasy
It seems to work for me
Nothing the matter with a dream
In the real world
